The photos below start with the Black Swallowtail eggs found on young fennel plants. The series of photographs will show you just how fast once the caterpillar hatches from the egg it grows. I had to move these hungry caterpillars several times to new parsley and dill plants as their appetites was huge! You will notice in some photos the parsley plants they stripped. Enjoy the Magical Metamorphosis of the Black Swallowtail!
